All required components are installed inside the SME-5, including a flowmeter, pressure reducer, flow control valves and solenoid valves for reference air and test gas. The customer needs only connect instrument air and a test gas bottle to the system after installation. The SME-5 software allows an easy fully automatic single point or two point calibration and an adjustable measured value memory is possible. A plausibility check is conducted during calibration with an indication of the sensor dynamic with test gas and probe dynamic with flue gas. The results are used to calculate the sensor life time. With external digital signals via internal digital inputs, the SME-5 can be remotely calibrated.
